More than 50 years of history !

Midas was created in 1956 in the town of Macon, Georgia (USA). Replacing exhaust pipes within 30 minutes was the revolutionary idea that gave birth to a brand that is now present worldwide. The second revolutionary idea was to develop a network through franchising. One year later, 100 franchised repair shops were created in 40 states. The Muffler Installation Dealers Associated Service (MIDAS) was born.

During the 60’s, Midas started its international development in Canada, Australia and Mexico. In 1975, Midas crossed the Atlantic sea and opened in Belgium, then in France (1976).Since the European expansion continues with successful introductions in Spain, Italy, Austria, Poland, Portugal and Morocco.

In 2004, the Europe and Latin America divisions joined the Norauto Groupe.(www.norautogroupe.com)

The keys to the company’s success are clear: appointment-free service, speed of execution and price transparency, provided for all vehicles, irrespective of make. Midas adopted a franchise system from the very outset, a real innovation at that time. As truly independent business owners, the Midas franchisees are driven by the entrepreneurial spirit, a taste for business and a sense of customer service. Midas supports its franchisees on a day-to-day basis and involves them in all the strategic decisions taken by the company.
